November Favorites 2016

December 31, 2016

Hey guys! I know, I know… Here I am, posting my November Favorites at the end of the month… again. Maybe I’ll start posting my monthly favorites sooner next year! A New Year’s resolution, if you will. Haha! November was a crazy month for us. My husband was gone for the entire month doing a clinical rotation out of town, so I had to hold down the fort by myself. Then our dog had to have emergency surgery right after Thanksgiving to remove a sock that was lodged in his small and large intestines. Y’all… our dog is a garbage disposal! I’m going to write a post within the coming months detailing all of the bizarre household items/clothing he has ingested and had to have surgery to remove. It’s crazy. When we first got him as an eight week old puppy, we expected a sweet little ball of fur, but what we got was a baby t-rex. Don’t get me wrong, he is the sweetest most loyal pup around, but he is definitely on Santa’s naughty list every year!

Before I jump into my November Favorites, I want to wish you all a very happy New Year! Y’all are so amazing and I am so honored to share this experience with you. Whether it’s an email, text, message, or comment, your love and support means the world to me and I am forever grateful for the community we have built here at Andi Tells It All.

Now on to my November Favorites! As always, all of the items are linked for quick and easy shopping.

E41 Round Deluxe Powder brush and E60 Deluxe Highlight Fan brush x Morphe (Elite II collection) – Y’all know I love my Morphe brushes. I think that they are some of the best affordable high quality brushes on the market. Their first ‘Elite’ collection was amazing and I was very disappointed that it was only available for a limited time. However… let me introduce you to their ‘Elite II’ line, which is PERMANENT. Holy crap. These brushes are so soft and durable. I’ve been reaching for these two in particular for a while now. The E41 is a super fluffy brush that’s perfect for applying powder all over the face, while the E60 is great for applying highlight to the cheek bones and other high points of the face.

Double Wear Stay-In-Place Liquid Foundation x Estée Lauder – I think I’ve featured more foundations in my monthly favorites than any other makeup product. I’m someone who almost always wears some type of foundation, even if it’s just a light layer of CC cream. I have oily acne-prone skin and wearing some type of liquid and then powder on top helps control my oiliness throughout the day. This foundation is EVERYTHING. I’ve tried it before and loved the formula but could never find a good shade match. Typically that wouldn’t bother me. I would just buy several different shades and mix them, but because this foundation is pretty pricey, I opted to just not use it. Thankfully however, my skin tone has changed and the shade “Ecru” is the perfect match! If you’re looking for a foundation that is full coverage and is going to stay in place all day long, then I highly recommend you give this one a try. It also doesn’t give flashback, so it’s great for taking photos.

Long-Wear Lip Crème Liquid Lipstick x Jouer – Liquid lipsticks were all the rage this year. I’ve seen several beauty gurus switching back to regular cream lipsticks, which means it’s only a matter of time before liquid lipsticks are out and cream lipsticks are back in. I however, am not ready to hop off the liquid lip train quite yet. I love them! If they’re the right formula, they give you long-lasting pigmentation that looks beautiful for hours. These by Jouer have been giving it to me here lately. I wear warm toned nudes 99% of the time (shocker), so these are perfect every-day shades for me. The formula is impeccable. They glide on very thin but deliver great pigmentation without getting goopy and clumpy. Once it dries down, it will stay put on my lips all day, even withstanding eating and drinking. The most I ever have to re-apply is once.

Navy and Green blanket scarf x Merona – If there’s one winter staple that I always have on hand, it’s blanket scarves. I practically live in them if the pesky Houston weather permits. They’re just so soft and cozy! I happened to snag this particular one for $5.00 at the local Super Target by our house a few months back, but I’ve linked a similar one here for you. I love the dark navy and green color combo. Super chic and perfect to pair with black, grey, and white (which I wear all the time).

Alright y’all, that’s it for my November Favorites! I promise I will get my December Favorites up within the next couple of weeks. I hope you all have an amazing New Years and that 2017 treats you well!
